Buddhism and yoga are two of the most popular practices in the world today. While they are different philosophies, they share the same goal, that is freedom from duḥkha, or suffering. The paths may be different but they are not opposed to each other. During this course on Yoga and Buddhism, A. G. Mohan and Indra Mohan will present the similarities and common roots that exist between them.
This course will help understand the foundational text of Buddhism through the lens of Yoga. The Dhammapada is a collection of sayings of the Buddha in verse form. It is one of the most widely read and well-known Buddhist scriptures. Presented by A. G. Mohan, this course is intended to benefit yoga practitioners by providing them with the concepts needed to understand the text, through the lens of Samkhya and Yoga.
